Rawpixel

Design Assets

Rawpixel is a stock library with an unusual mix: modern stock photography and mockups alongside a large collection of public-domain artwork, vintage illustrations, botanical prints and historic design material, all cleaned up and offered as high-resolution files with PNG cutouts and editable templates. Designers use it when they want imagery that does not look like standard corporate stock. Free accounts get a limited number of downloads per day, and a good deal of the public-domain material is available at no cost, so start there and confirm the library suits your aesthetic before subscribing. Paid plans lift download limits, unlock premium content and the highest resolutions, and extend the commercial licence, which is the part that matters for client and advertising work. Annual billing is the biggest reduction and most offers on this page are annual prices, so compare the yearly total against monthly. The efficient pattern is the same as with any asset library: subscribe for a concentrated month, download a working library for your upcoming projects, archive it properly with the licence details, then reassess. Two licensing points worth reading carefully: public-domain originals are free of copyright but Rawpixel's own edits, compositions and templates are licensed, and editorial or historic material can still carry trademark or personality restrictions when used in advertising. Keep the licence receipts alongside your files, and download full-resolution originals rather than web previews so the assets remain useful for print later.

Xmind

Productivity Tools

Xmind is mind-mapping and outlining software with a long track record: branching maps, logic charts, fishbone diagrams, timelines and org charts, a linked outline view, task and priority markers for turning a map into a plan, presentation mode, and export to image, PDF and Office formats. It runs on desktop and mobile with sync, and the outline view is what makes it usable for real project work rather than just brainstorming. The free version covers building and editing maps for personal use; the paid subscription adds unrestricted export formats, advanced structures, password protection, larger attachment and storage limits and the AI features. Identify which of those you need, because most people upgrade for export — being unable to hand a map to a colleague as a PDF is the usual trigger — rather than for editing power. Annual billing is the biggest reduction and most of the offers on this page are annual prices, so compare the yearly total against monthly. Ask about student and education pricing if you qualify, which is often substantially cheaper than any public discount. Two practical points: check that the export formats your team requires are included in the tier you are buying before you pay, and keep local copies of your map files rather than relying solely on cloud sync, since your thinking archive should not depend on a subscription remaining active. Buy for one term first and see whether the maps you make actually get reused.

NordVPN

VPN & Privacy

NordVPN is one of the largest consumer VPN services: a big server network across dozens of countries, WireGuard-based NordLynx for speed, audited no-logs policy, multi-hop and obfuscated servers, threat protection that blocks trackers and malicious sites, and bundled extras in higher tiers including a password manager and encrypted storage. Typical uses are securing public Wi-Fi, keeping an ISP out of your browsing, and accessing services while travelling. VPN pricing is the most aggressively structured category in software: the headline monthly price applies to long multi-year terms, and the renewal rate after that initial term is usually far higher. So the only number worth comparing is the total cost of the first term plus the renewal rate of the second. Two-year plans have the lowest effective monthly cost, one-month plans are expensive, and the difference is large. Decide on the tier separately: the extras bundled into the higher plans are worth paying for only if you would otherwise buy a password manager, and most people do not need them. Diarise the renewal date, because the automatic rebill at full price is where the savings evaporate; many people cancel and re-subscribe as a new customer instead. Use the money-back window to test the speeds and the specific services you need on your own connection, since performance varies by location. Check how many simultaneous devices a plan allows before buying for a household.

10Web

Website Builders

10Web is an AI-assisted WordPress platform: it generates a complete WordPress site from a description or recreates an existing site, then hosts it on managed infrastructure with automatic backups, a CDN, image optimisation and a page builder on top of Elementor. The pitch is WordPress flexibility without the setup and performance work, which is why it appeals to freelancers and small agencies building many small sites. Plans are tiered by number of websites, monthly visitors, storage and whether the AI builder and co-pilot features are included. Because the site count is the main variable, the cheapest approach for an agency is one larger plan covering several client sites rather than separate subscriptions — check the per-site cost at each tier before deciding. Annual billing is the biggest reduction, commonly several months free, and most of the offers on this page are annual prices, so compare the yearly total and check whether a discount applies only to the first term. Before you commit, run the free trial and test the two things that matter: whether the generated site is genuinely editable in standard WordPress terms, and whether the visitor limit matches your real traffic, since overage is where hosting bills surprise people. Keep your own full backups and a copy of your domain registration outside the platform, so migrating away later is a normal task rather than a rebuild, and confirm the migration and export options before you move a live site in.

AdCreative.ai

Marketing Tools

AdCreative.ai generates advertising creative at volume: banners, social ad images and video, headlines and descriptions, all scored by a model trained on what converts, with brand kits to keep the output on-brand and integrations that pull performance data back from Google and Meta so you can see which generated variants actually worked. It is built for testing dozens of creatives rather than crafting one. Plans are priced by monthly credits, brand accounts and seats, and the higher tiers are mostly larger credit pools. Size the plan to your real testing cadence: a business running two campaigns needs a fraction of what an agency managing twenty does. The free trial is enough to test the point that matters — whether the generated creatives beat what you currently run — and that is measured in your ad account, not in the tool's own scores. Annual billing is the biggest single saving and most of the offers on this page are annual prices, so compare the yearly total against twelve monthly charges. To use credits efficiently, load your brand kit and product images properly first, generate variations around the concepts that already perform rather than exploring blindly, and export in the exact ad sizes you need to avoid regenerating. Check the commercial and stock licensing on any bundled imagery before running paid ads, verify every claim and price shown in a creative, and keep exported assets locally so your creative library outlives the subscription.

Ahrefs

SEO Tools

Ahrefs is a search-visibility platform built on one of the largest backlink indexes in the industry. Its core jobs are backlink and referring-domain analysis, keyword research with click and difficulty data, competitor gap analysis, rank tracking and a technical site audit that crawls your site the way a search engine would. SEOs use it above all to see who links to a competitor and why a page outranks theirs. It is not cheap, and there are no meaningful coupons on the core plans, so saving comes from buying correctly. Annual billing is the main reduction — roughly two months free — and most offers on this page reflect annual pricing. Beyond that, size the plan by the limits that actually bind you: verified project slots, crawl credits and rank-tracked keywords, not features. The free Webmaster Tools account gives you a site audit and your own backlink profile at no cost, which covers a small site entirely, and the free keyword generator and backlink checker answer occasional questions without a subscription. If your work is project-based, subscribe for an intensive month, export your backlink lists, keyword sets and competitor gaps to spreadsheets, then cancel until the next audit — the exports remain useful long after access ends. Watch usage-based credits on newer plans, since extra crawls and reports can add charges mid-month. Add extra user seats only when a colleague needs their own login rather than sharing, which breaks the terms.
