Reka AI

Developer Tools

Reka AI builds multimodal foundation models, meaning AI systems that handle text, images, video and audio together, and sells access to them through an API aimed at developers rather than at consumers. There is no monthly subscription. You create an account, add prepaid credit, and get charged per token processed, with three model tiers running from a small cheap model for light tasks up to a more capable one for harder reasoning. A separate Vision product is billed per minute of video indexed and per search performed. Because the pricing is usage based, saving money on Reka is about the two levers it actually publishes rather than a code. Every account gets a refresh of 10 dollars in free API credits each month, which is enough for testing, prototyping or a small personal project without paying anything. Larger or committed usage qualifies for a negotiated volume discount, but that runs through a direct conversation with Reka's sales team and never through a checkout field. There is no student discount and no official coupon. Third party coupon farms advertise large percentages off Reka, and those pages are not connected to Reka in any way. The Vision product also gives a few free hours of indexed video so you can evaluate it before spending.
